The Good, The Bad and The Really Ugly of South Carolina Politics

An Urgent Call to Action for District 88 and South Carolina: Demand Accountability Now

Residents of District 88 in Lexington, it’s time for a critical conversation about who represents us. An individual accused of heinous acts, R.J. May, currently holds a seat in our House of Representatives. This is not just about allegations; it’s about the values we uphold as a community and a state.

The spectrum of child exploitation is vast and horrifying. From those who consume such material to those who actively produce and disseminate it, each act erodes the safety and innocence of children. The most depraved individuals are those who derive pleasure from creating child pornography, inflicting unimaginable trauma and stealing the very soul of a child. These are acts that defy human comprehension.

Alarmingly, some who engage in such behaviors often champion policies that appear to promote child welfare, such as advocating for less regulated adoptions or restricting women’s reproductive choices. We must question the true motives behind these actions when they come from individuals accused of such grave offenses. Is it truly about family, or is it about control over vulnerable lives? This pattern of behavior, where those who claim to protect children simultaneously seek to control women and families, is deeply disturbing and must be exposed.

God’s plan is not one of exploitation or control. It is time for Lexington County and all of South Carolina to rise up and unequivocally denounce child abuse, child pornography, and the abuse and control of women. We must hold our elected officials accountable for their personal conduct and the policies they champion.

Young people and women of this state, you have the power to make a difference. Do not be swayed by rhetoric that blinds you to the truth. If you believe this aligns with God’s will, I urge you to examine your conscience and the teachings of your faith.

It’s time to DEMAND action:

Demand the immediate removal of R.J. May from office.

Demand that all elected officials be held accountable for their personal behavior.

Demand that every individual, regardless of gender or race, be given the same opportunities and the same fundamental choices over their lives.

Demand our legislators sharpen laws and regulations significantly regarding the production, possession and distribution of every form of child/underage pornography, abuse and exploitation.

Follow that with draconian-level punishments for violating those laws. Make South Carolina a hellscape for anyone who dares challenge our commitment to protect children and willingness to impose the most severe punishment allowed by the Constitution. Include massive minimum sentences AND fines with NO opportunity for parole or reduced prison time. These should not be considered “white collar” crimes and those convicted must serve their time in maximum security facilities, not “country club” encampments.

We are America, a nation founded on the principles of equal justice and the devine laws of a loving God. Every one must be protected and everyone must be held accountable for their actions.

Our Constitution guarantees it.

Our humanity demands it!
