Last year, during my election campaign, I faced an egregious and frankly baffling accusation: I was labeled a “baby killer.” This wasn’t just a whisper; it was plastered across billboards throughout District 23, a district I believe I’ve served tirelessly, particularly in advocating for children.
Who was behind this preposterous lie? Groups like the Family Caucus, Students for Life, and Personhood South Carolina. Many of these organizations, it seems, have something unsettling in common: they’re either supported by or consist of some truly questionable individuals. And perhaps the most notorious of these is the not-so-honorable Representative RJ May.
The Unthinkable Hypocrisy
While my opponents were busy slandering my name and supporting my opposition, RJ May himself was allegedly running a “child pornography playground” on devices in his home, possibly even while on government property. This is a man who had the audacity to attack me, to help fund billboards spewing lies, all while allegedly engaging in such abhorrent acts. It makes you wonder: to whom within these groups and caucuses was he exposing this sickening material? Other legislators in South Carolina? Across the country? How deep does this depravity go? To these questions I’ll add another; Who knew what RJ May was doing, but said/did nothing?
And let’s not forget the horrific nature of the alleged content: “kiddie porn” involving children as young as two, animal sex with children, and the use of a head cam to record these acts. The level of perversion is truly beyond comprehension. Yet, this individual, and those who supported him, had the nerve to lie about me, to try and prevent me from protecting children, all while allegedly abusing them. The hypocrisy is sickening.
A Deeper Betrayal
For years, I’ve observed the conduct of these individuals and their cronies, wondering why they fiercely protect the unborn, yet seemingly turn a blind eye to abused and neglected children, to the hungry, and to the homeless. With each passing day, the answer becomes clearer.
And kudos to the folks at the Kik messaging app! Had they not alerted authorities and cooperated in the investigation, who knows how much further the abuse would have gone and how many more children would have been exploited? THANK YOU!
My prayers now are for justice. For RJ May and for anyone who participated in these alleged evil schemes. I pray for those who were involved, those who watched, and those who spread this hideous pornography. Most of all, I pray that if found guilty, they receive the punishment they deserve, and that the children affected by these crimes can find a path to recovery. These innocent, sweet little children, who never asked to be born, some of whom these very groups championed into a world populated by the sick and perverted individuals we now know so well.
RJ, prison alone cannot possibly deliver the justice someone like you deserves. True justice demands accountability, and perhaps that accountability should begin on the very steps of the South Carolina Statehouse, confronted by the parents of the children in those videos.
