There are a lot of things in this world that we just can’t do anything about. As much as we think about world hunger and see the pictures on TV, what can you do?
You can send $25 a month to somewhere but how much of that really goes to feed the hungry and who knows that if it does when it gets there will their governments give it to them. But then you say why should I feed someone else when we have so many hungry children in America, even in South Carolina.
We have had opportunities to solve this problem but they have come and gone in the last few years with someone always getting in the way.
Katrina’s Kids is still serving children all across the state. These children are in foster care, kinship care and group homes. These are children that want to have the same opportunities that our children and grandchildren children have.
They want to play baseball and basketball. They want to take swim lessons and karate. They need after school tutoring. There is a little girl out there that wants to take gymnastics or dance.
